Sleep is for mortals

another restless night.

pacing. internet exhausted my interest. Radio on. How many times can I listen to "I'm bringing Sexy Back" w/o going insane?

Exhausted CoH. Made new hero on Freedom and blew threw sewers with another insomniac that I used to play w/ a lot. Good chats.

Movie night was a blast. Voted for "Grosse Pointe Blank" and watched Kung-fu Panda w/ kids, instead. The Divine Miss E sprawled across me like a lounge chair. LOL. I love Po. I am Po. In the right place at the right time with NO f-ing idea what he's doing. Ske-doooo!

Need to update website. Found so many "well intentioned" outfits from way back when in trunks in garage. Had a giggle fit. Also found my first "historical" clothing item. Amazing wonder of wonders... it fits except in the chest ... I'm a bit bigger now on top. Something to do with nursing. Anyway, had a stray thought "should keep for posterity" and then squashed it. Will get photos on Sunday and post it. Must purge ALL of it. Out. Out. Out. Must not be held down by past.

I have A 3-hr bike ride in 3 hrs. (three bears with HRJ!!!) Sleep is for mortals.

I am ready for a road trip. Anywhere. I guess I need some escape. I will need to redefine myself at work next month. Very weird. Project will be done and I will need to reorient myself. blah. what do I want to be when I grow up? I just want to stay employed. Hand me a mop, a project or a report. I really really don't care.

This month flying to Tex-ass (as one friend describes it. LOL). Next month going to Santa Cruz for ocean-swimming seminar on "how to avoid drowning" or getting eaten by ocean predator or something on 8/3. yay! Wet suits, Santa Cruz and (hopefully) crashing at someone's house nearby. (mmm.. need to put out call for crash space...)

Then sprint tri-race on 8/10 in Santa Cruz (sanctioned by USAT no less.. woot woot.. gonna get ranked!)

Then Olympic Tri in Sept. "Tri-Girl-Tri" Sprint tri in October (after Crown and before Mists Coronet).

but wait... I seem to be throwing a bridal shower and bach-party for a friend of a friend in there somewhere.. cuz I'm a softie for certain fuzzy bunnies and I can't turn my back someone who's so kind and who clearly needs a defender to step up.

Then b-day party for Divine Miss E, who turns 5.

Then.. wedding for fuzzy bunny on 10/25 and then ...

(drum roll) bon voyage.. going to Paris on 10/26!!!! with train to Florence.. I guess that trumps a road trip. yay! Catacombs, trains, food, gleefully mocking the French w/ JZ. She rocks. We finish each others sentences She's just like me only MORE caffienated... bwah-ha-ha! (tho utterly uninterested in my level of fitness stuff.. boo hoo) Our hubbies both do the "deep sigh", put heads in hands, and fear we will be arrested or thrown off train or cause international incident. Maybe Frenchies should be warned.. two crazy Americanas with no impulse control , both totally OCD, and of the 2 of us I'm the one who's diplomatic and restrained. (LMAO!) I can't wait to unleash JZ on the Italianos... snicker... and even better, my lil' sis might join us. And she has always made a point of being more extreme than I am. Woot! Time to pull out the language tapes and brush up... so I can talk our way out of trouble. (snicker)

Okay.. I have one more international (dreaded) audit at work; 3 races to compete in; 5 parties to throw, at least one rose tournament to participate in; and 2 kids to get through summer swim lessons and into the fall session of school. (am I over scheduled?) and then I'm flying overseas. ... whew!

Janet Arnold Colloquim, here I come!

Honestly, I'm pretty sure my life bores everyone to tears. But it's mine so I make the most of it.
