I.R.Luddite

Sewing machines

sigh. I started browsing on-line. It's hard to find reviews that aren't sponsored by the mfrs. I don't want a computer in my sewing machine. I would hate to get a virus.. can you imagine a machine that only did seams in a pattern that said "F*ck You"? or some other nonsense? I just got my PC virus free.. I shudder to think of my sewing machine falling victim to some clever jerks with nothing better to do that make seamstresses and tailors cry. I also totally don't need fancy machine's to do embroidery for me.

Me = luddite.

I read up on the Singer HD-110 and liked it. It goes forward, backward, zig-zag and does button-hole. Luddite, luddite, luddite. I was eyeballing the treadle machine, but decided it hasn't been too risky to be on the grid just enough to power my machine. heh. But none o' dat fancy com-pew-tur stuff.

Feedback?

I like it. My machine does forward and backwards like a CHAMP (singer featherlite from 1952) and nothing else and I love it. Although I occasionally have to borrow someone else's for zig zag and button holes.
So, uh...yay luddites of the world unite! It looks good to me, but I'd want to test drive it too.
