Need a new word
I need a new word. Two weeks ago I was overwhelmed. That just seems inadequate right now.
I'll be logged on again late this evening to update collegium website. Essentially, except for sorting the class descriptions accurately, I think it's ready to go. Yippee! I've been getting up at 3:30 am to work on it, though, so I'm in bed around 8pm. sigh.
I need a bigger word. Suggestions?
Summary:
Birthday weekend did not go as expected, but it was tremendous fun.
The guy at work who's been harrassing me went to HIS boss to say I'm the most obnoxious person he's ever met. (?!?) I'm slipping back into the techniques I used when I worked in Santa Clara - "thank you" and "please" are my bywords. I'll put more details behind friend cut later. It's priceless - both amazingly idiotic and amazingly funny.
The other guy who was bugging me a few months ago accidentally recorded himself telling me how hostile and confrontational I am and, as a "friend", gave me all sorts of advice. We were filming video for a regulatory agency at the time and I was thanking him for his feedback (not offended, just thinking that those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!) when I looked over and noticed he was filming - I asked if the sound recorder was on. He freaked out because it was not his intent to record our conversation. I wish we had tape of the scene that followed THAT. LOL. I was telling someone else and I laughed so hard tears were coming out of my eyes.
Da Spouse is out of town this week and I'm doing my impression of Super Mom. The menu this week - mac-n'cheese, tortillas, fruit, yogurt .. stuff like that.

no subject
I wonder if it's gender related, too. Or just hearing the words "no" when someone wants something. And when the no-sayer doesn't back down, how can it NOT be confrontational at least on the emotional level?
His boss and I were in a meeting last night. The boss made a joke about it. So I wonder how much is being taken seriously in the White Tower?
