Sewing update...

fuck fuk fuch fuc fuckity fuck. I got the freaking god-damned corset on and it's not small enough.....RAAAAAAAWRR
This was discovered this morning. I'm packing car and kids and taking off for Coos Bay Or tonight, so there's no time for any fix before I go. Plus, my plan this morning before doctor appt was to have a bodice in hand that needed trim on it. This is NOT going to schedule. argh!
Instead, I discovered I could machine stitch the back closed and was able to wear it. THAT was probably a bit too tight in the boobs, but it didn't matter much at the time. I was so mad once it dawned on me that it was still too loose in the rib/waist/abs, I was too pissed to care about boob-discomfort.
grrrr....
In a desparate hope that it won't matter much, I took my recent (non-corsetted) bodice drape and tried to wear it over the corset. phooey! This is shaping up like I need to get draped for real.
grr...
I just want to throw myself on the floor and make "snow angels" in my fabric and I want the outfit to emerge from the sea of fabric like the Nautilus.
Too bad .. instead ... grrr ... decision making time. I see a few different paths. One of them is a new corset. (no time) One of them is to take the heavy-duty shears and just lop off 2 inches off each side of the center back. (sob.. all the hand finished bias binding... sniffle... yet emotional satisfaction in the linen-y blood and gore that I'll create in my wake of destruction)... gah... And this corset is at least 4 inches smaller than the last one. blah.
and no time to get draped tonight with the packing I need to do.

I need to look at my project time line and do some math. grrr.
