Books.. how I adore thee

Stressed out at work today. Lot's of reasons and no desire to revisit any of it. What's a stress-monkey control freak to do?

Well, now I am the proud owner of a couple of Janet Arnold publications (Costume Handbook and something about periwigs...) and a couple of Stibbert Museum publications.

I am going to binge sew in the Corbie Cave tonight. I'm ready to tackle the dress I started in April/May ... it got set aside due to sudden indecision. And since I'm at my target weight, I'm much more convinced that once it's done, it'll be around for a while. Only question left is: Do I have the guts to watch Buffy while sewing?

I'm a total Scardey Cat. I mean I jump when the house creaks and I'm home alone. I can't watch scarey movies without having intense nightmares. I stopped playing Diablo II when I hit the level with the scary rhino-headed charging monsters; I'd screech and jump out of my chair. Then I'd yell for the hubby to come kill them for me while I stood in the doorway of the computer room and watched from a safe distance. So I mean ... TOTAL Scardey Cat.

I've been rewatching the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV series while sewing for Erinwood... late at night... alone in my shed (aka The Corbie Cave)... I totally spook myself out by the time I was half way through season 1. When I lock it up (after midnight), I ran so fast to the back door and into the house, I don't think my feet touch the deck. My consolation is that there is a phone in the shed.

Do I have the guts? I'm really enjoying it. And SMGellar actually has body fat in season 1. I forgot how cute she was.

Hey - I may take you up on that later on. I also need to get my hands on StarGate first season. We seem to have the others (borrowed or whatever), but not the first.
