tylenol or other pain reliever of your choice will help, and should be taken.

The 2 best things I know of for healing burns are Aloe Vera - a slice off a plant if you can get it, otherwise a store-bought prep - and high-quality lavender oil. It's one of the few you can use neat, or undiluted, and its efficacy with burns was actually the start of modern aromatherapy. French scientist Rene-Maurice Gattefosse burned himself in his laboratory and instinctively dunked his hand in the nearest vat of liquid, which happened to be pure lavender oil. The burn healed quickly and without scarring, prompting him to research essential oils much of the rest of his life.

Look for the best brand you can, and expect to pay about $15 for a ~1 oz. bottle - with essential oils you get what you pay for. It should smell clean and strong, not too sweet or chemical-y.

Lavender is an awesome thing to have around the house in general - it's a mild antiseptic, great for burns, useful for skincare in general, and makes everything smell good!

Regardless, I hope you heal up quickly!
