Movie Review

Batman Begins

Whoop! Awesome! Must own when it comes out on DVD. If it wasn't such a logistical issue, I'd go see it again. The lead (Christian Bale?) does such an awesome job of transitioning from College brat to young man and he was soooo expressive. It was fascinating to watch his demeanor shift mid-stream as the character shifted mental gears. So, yes, it wasn't just special effects and a celebration of comic-geekdom, there was acting, too. And a story line.

Kudos also to Liam Neeson, Rutger Hauer, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, ... I can't wait to own it on DVD.

Also saw the trailer for "Serenity". I kept bouncing up and down in my seat and struggled to keep the cheers in. I finally let out some sort of "yay" when it was done. D'Salie was right next to me and called me a geek. But it looks AWESOME! I can't wait. I MUST go and watch the first season again (and again, and again ...).

Project Deadlines

(Project Blog)

Okay, it’s been 5 days since the mantles were presented and I am utterly rudderless with no schedule or goals or due dates. I almost feel like I have too much time on my hands, which I KNOW is impossible because I’m so tired. Enough sitting around on my butt and reading non-productive detective fiction. Time to get back to the gym and to set up my project schedule. I sometimes wonder if my totem is a shark; they suffocate if they stop moving and I usually feel the same way.Read more... )

Ahhh, now that's more like. Lot's to do, lots of deadlines, and a clear idea of what I think I'm doing with my time. I expect things will shift around as I ramp up to Collegium again. But it's a start and will get me rolling again. Motion is good; stillness is suffocating.
