Boring ol' life

A friend mentioned last weekend - "you should journal more".

No I shouldn't. My life is pretty boring. Busy and fulfilling to me, but boring from the outside.

And today it's very, very frustrating. But definitely boring because we all face frustration, idiocy and our own short-comings.

Tonight I will enjoy the family time, fiddle with some embroidery and spend some time collating the collegium classes so I can (hopefully) publish the website this week.

Oh and I've gone to the gym 2x this week because I got up before 5 am to do it. Doc says I'm pre-diabetic and must "lose weight now OR ELSE". Funny how that motivates me to get my tired butt out of bed at obnoxious pre-dawn hours. Something will give - probably the embroidery and the housework. I hate laundry anyways! So what if I start leaving piles of clean laundry if it means I avoid diabetes? It's all a matter of perspective, I guess.

See? B-O-R-I-N-G.

Doc said to lose weight? Must not be so much, you didn't look like you had to lose weight when I saw you at 12th Night.

Congrats on making it to the gym. At 5 AM I have my head buried under a pillow as it's Rick's turn to feed the baby.

My life is pretty dull, just like what you're describing. Funny how something so static from one perspective, can cause such stress.

The reason you write here is to take come of the angst out of your system with a little healthy venting, and it helps your friends keep track of you, even when we don't have time to see each other for weeks at a time. It's like my own little newspaper, with editorials written just for me. I don't care if you don't have much to say about the bulk of your day, I know that your mind is churning with things that do matter to you, and what you think and how you deal with those things does interest me. Maybe fixing your filter list so you can really vent properly is a possibility.

What does he mean by "pre-diabetic"?

It's that time of year for annual physical exams and blood work stuff. I did the fasting blood sugar screening and I elevated levels of whatever-the-heck-it-is that they check for.

I should probably say "borderline diabetic". In my flurry of frutrated typing, I jotted off "pre-D". Borderline would be more accurate.
