it's not how many pokers are in the fire
it's how you pull them out. yesh...was grilling dinner. Yay me! yay fire! Yay seared-fleshy-goodness...oh crap- that's my fleshy-goodness!
metal-skewer + bare hand + fire = oooooow!@$!@!#$#%!
asbestos finger upgrade must be on back order. boo! i've been exploring all the things i can do left-handed while right hand is in ice-water bath. E.G,
embroidery = no
dish washing = F! no
typing left-handed = y
watching tv = y
running = lol... no
snuggling kids in bed = no water bath = briefly.. for as long as i can stand sensation of fingers on fire
computer games = no - can't mouse
hand joining linen with tiny stitches ... on ebh chemise = y!!! wow! but need both knees too. yoga stitching
eating boo-boo-girl ice cream cone= praise the makers of chunky chip mint, hell yes!
more exploring forth coming as soon as i replace my ice. tomorrow wiil suck at work. sigh. the shape of the skewer is perfectly raised in a contrasting color of blisters on my wittle fingers. *sniffle* i may be a +6 for planning, but i think i'm -6 in kitchen. humor aside, this f-ing hurts. wonder if i'll be able to sleep.

Don't get me wrong, there's a great deal of good about modern science, but a whole lot of arrogance and humongous blind spots too. Essential oils work because of *chemistry*, for pity's sake, and yet you can still find posts from skeptics that claim that the use of essential oils is "quackery" and has absolutely zero efficacy - and this in the face of clinical trials of certain oil properties!
