I was totally wiped out tonight. We were watching "Fairly Odd Parents" (Nick Cartoon) followed by one episode from Season 2 of Wonder Woman (The queen and the theif), which wrapped up around 9pm. There I was, sitting on the sofa, kids in my lap, warm blanket over all of us, snuggling, and watching TV. I had the overwhelming urge to close my eyes and let go of being awake.
After Wonder Woman wrapped up (the good guys winning of coures), I dragged my tired butt upstairs, put Frick and Frack to bed, and resisted the urge to go to bed. I put one foot in front of the other and headed out to the gym for a 45 minute session with the life cycle. Wa-hoo!
Not surprising, it wasn't that crowded on a Friday night. But more important to me, I keep wondering where my motivation came from. Maybe watching Wonder Woman jump from roof to ground or leaping cars or racing across lawns spoke to my inner super hero: go to the gym and you, too, can leap over cars and jump from second story balconies ... Whatever it was, I followed through on my plan. There's a victory for my day.
Surgery Status: F is doing better if the time spent having fun on the computer is an indicator. He's still not up to snuff, but (IMO) good enough to put his dishes in the dishwasher. Those are mostly bowls since he still can't eat solid food, which has me wondering when he's going to heal enough for regular eating.
