Wheee... costume hand-me down success
Aug. 4th, 2007 10:21 pmfrom me to me.
It turns out some of my dresses can be cut down. Woot woot.
Having to face so many dresses that cannot be cut down or remade without destroying them... what a heart-breaker. The time, the blood, the money, the storage space (because like heck I'm giving them away!), ... gah. Just one big frustrating thing. I know... "celebrate, you lost weight"... I am. But I'm a clothes horse and there is so much fabric and very little of it was cheap.
However, it looks like the 15th century Italian cotes can be cut down. woot woot. The secret is the neckline... those low necked Italians become shoulderless when you start pinching in the seams. Anyway, starting on the red linen one. What a relief.
