Pie in Face Day

Or maybe it's rotten fruit.

The boss's text messages started rolling in while I was still driving to work. "Where are you?" Their urgency and details escalated at the speed of text.

Issue 1: I don't know anything about it, but I have less than 2 hrs to become a technical genuis on a complicated piece of machinery and provide enough data to make a multi-million dollar decision. And the people who have the info that could help me are either home sick or in the bowels of the mfg plant (where there are no cell phones).

Issue 2: I am an expert on the topic and I've already had several "vigorous" conversations today with third party busy bodies who are sabotaging my project and, if they don't stop it, will cause extreme drama in my life which will be timed to explode while I'm out of town and can't defend myself.

I am staring at my monitor astounded at my really REALLY bad run of luck today.

I wish the Mocha Fairies would drop off a drinkie-poo just just like the one I had yesterday. That would distract me for at least 10 minutes and maybe give me inspiration. Cuz I've got nothing and I think my ship is sinking.

P.S. Personal, Issue 3: And my credit card has been compromised. The bank called asking about crazy transactions. Gee, this is so much fun.

I'm sitting here finally finishing breakfast/lunch (soup- pork pozole.. nom nom nom.. my lips are burning from lotta awesome spices). What a long hard day. I'm tired through and through. All I want to do is go home, get my dynamic duo, make rice and green tea for dinner, and chill out.

Issue 1: Resolved. although daaaang! I'm worn out.

Issue 2: Pissing me off. Not resolved. A blight on all busy bodies. Some MORE vigorous disagreement during which I resort to saying things like "prove it" and "show me" and "ah-ha! I was right!"

Personal Issue 3: Bah. At least evilness didn't leak into my personal checking account.
