The things kids say...
Daddy was directing Miss E to help out.
She piped up with, "But Daddy, I'm not a goat."
He paused, a look of total confusion on his face, "What?"
She repeated, slowly and with emphasis as if he were hard of hearing, "I'm not a goat."
He stared for a moment and then asked, "I'm still not sure what you mean, can you explain?"
Miss E, sighing and assuming an air of patience she must have learned by watching her teachers at school, explains, "Super N was born in the year of the goat and they are workers. I'm born in the year of the rabbit and we are artists."
Daddy spends a few moments staring and digesting. "Well, I think you are a great artist, but even artists have to work."
I keep giggling. She really came up with that on her own. Everytime work gets stressful, I remind myself of this exchange.
