No news. Just work, fitness, being a mom and being a wife.

Today's WW. weigh in: 151 lb. It kept flickering lower, but we went with this. Yay.

My scale at home said 149, but that was before I ate and without getting dressed.

The good news: I've dumped the cookies/beer weight I put on while raking pine-needles Memorial Day weekend (woot) and I've made some progress towards my end goal (woot woot). Turns out I suck at guess-timating pts/calories. I've been eating as though I were maintaining and not losing. d'oh. So back to carefully checking points before I record stuff.

Interesting comparison between Monday and Tuesday regarding diet and exercise.

My take-home lesson:
1. eat my fruits/veg.
2. Don't go to workout without fuel in body.
3. Make sure pre-workout fuel has protein.

Monday:
1/2 scone (4pts)
Starbucks drink (4pts)
Panda Express (12 pts)
snacks (4pts) (crackers and dried fruit)
dinner (3pts)

The key to this is: servings of fruit/veg = 1; dinner happened at 10pm, after work out.

My workout: 30 min cardio; 363 cal. Super hard. Was dying towards the end and had to dig deep to finish last 5 minutes. Weights were also hard. Ended up limping out to car because groin muscle or ligament or whatever was screaming in pain. I also did stretching for the first time in forever while at gym. It was a wretched work out and even though I reached the appropriate level of tired, I didn't enjoy it and I had to force myself to finish it.

Tuesday:
yogurt smoothie (1pt)
berries (1pt)
1/2 scone (4 pt)
grape tomatoes (0pt)
apple (2pt)
1/5 schawarma (3pt)
orange bell pepper (0)
grapes (1)
WW snack (1)
carrots (0)
celery (0)
grapes (1)
Hard boiled egg (2)
1/2 citrus salmon at Mimi's Cafe (8)

workout (2-3 hrs after dinner, not before)
30 min cardio, 373 cal. Compared to Monday, both my total burned calories and my steps/min aprox +10. It was challenging and I had to have my motivational music to finish it out, but it was definitely not miserable and I "sprinted" the last 2 minutes. Weights were pretty good. I skipped stretching; I was tired. Overall, the workout was not wretched.
