The backlash that I was expecting happened, but not at me. Yay!!! Well, "yay" for me, anyway. I'm sure the back-lashee is not feeling so great.
Apparently my e-mail initiated some data crunching and a team-wide realization that "all is not well in the universe". There was a flame-o-rama e-mail war yesterday and I was left out of the loop! Yay!!!!
Cal Shakespeare Festival show last night. We saw "The Triumph of Love" at the Bruns memorial theater in Berkeley (Orinda side of tunnel).hrj made a great dinner and Pinkie brought a thigh-destorying dessert. The production was excellent and I laughed my butt off. I am utterly amazed at the versatility of the lead actress who played a woman cross dressing as a youth and who then courts 2 different men (who learn she is a woman dressed as a man trying to escape the evil Princess... without revealing that she IS the evil princess) and a woman (who believes she is the youth), switching her projected gender to suit the suitor. Quite amazing and inspiring.
So far this season, Cal Shakes is 3 for 3. My summary
Richard III - tragedy: He dies, she dies, everyone dies.
Man and Superman - comedy: You can run, but you can't hide from love.
Triumph of Love - comedy: Choose love before it chooses you. And beware sudden passions.
Coming up: King Lear.
