Triathalon update

The boss has talked another co-worker into entering the tri in Napa. The new guy is my future direct supervisor and my current boss is his boss. So on May 4 I'll be racing against my new boss, my boss's boss, and my boss's boss's wife. The wife is bringing a friend, but the friend is auxiliary at this point and not on my radar.
Did I say "race against"? Yeah. I did. That's healthy competition, right? Just as long as we start no bets and sling no slurs, I'm voting "it all good". So what if I hand my hubby 2 stop watches so he can track them for me during the race and tell me "when" I am assuming they go first. Discreetly, of course. That's strategy, not unhealthy competition.
When I think about the race, I start humming. I hum when I fight, too. Usually Bugs Bunny tunes. I'm so weird.
