they do have volunteer opportunities. I saw that all over the 2008 website. But I will be hoping to get a few roadies of my own. One of the really critical things support folks can do is relieve me of gear. I have to prepare to bike through snow, sleet AND blistering heat. From what I've read, the blistering heat happens at the end. So having someone take possession of the cold-weather gear so that I don't have to tote it through the 100F + hot head-wind zone would be awesome.

plus water - gatorade - moleskin - replacement tubes - sunscreen - blistex - spare socks - PB&J

yay! I'm so excited. I'm like this super-ball of energy zipping around the place.

One important thing you need to do is train your pit crew to change a tire if needed. Everything else is basically a hand- off.

I will provide Death Raven Roadie training workshop on how to change tires, help me apply moleskin, and do first aid. Maybe we can call you guys the "bone pickers". LOL...

but I just asked an artist I know (does internet icons and con badges) who I met through friends at Burning Man to make one for Death Raven Riding, referencing the Death Ride logo. We'll see what she turns up. If it's at all good, the Bone Rollers (I prefer that to pickers) will have shirts!

Black, of course, that way your whole family will wear them.
