Damn I want to be doing stuff! It's torture sitting here at lunch and not being able to race off and feed my fix.

Right now everything must wait until after May 21. But I can't wait to

have a dress clinic with my favorite sewing friends
Set up some sort of monthly or bi-monthly apprentice/student time.
Start noodling around with my latest concepts for certain costume/clothing constructions
work on my Elizabethan stitches some more ... just itching to do something with the plaited braid stitch now!
take photos of my garden and match them to Elizabethan embroidered flowers in da books (turns out that I inadvertantly planted stuff that should match- whoo hoooooooo!!!)
make clothes for the kids
have the Alice's Tea Party in June (sorry, guests are ages 2-5!)

In the meantime, I'm chugging along in my latest opus-y "Grand Scheme", which is due at June Crown. I easily have over 100 hours still to put into it. (I'm getting tired of this project. I started it in Feb of 2004). Fortunately, I see the light ... goooo toooo the liiiigggght.... hehehhehee!

But when this latest huge project is done, I'm going to kick it for a while and just do selfish projects that feed my jones to explore and create. Things that have no deadlines. Looking back I've easily done over 200 hours of embroidery in the last 14 months between the "grand scheme", the drawn work sleeves, the Opus Tuetonicum pouch for Le Chef, the started Opus Anglicanum pouch for D'Salai, and the handkerchief for the baptism. (Sheesh! No wonder why I'm tired.)

I'm pushing Collegium along with help from some awesome volunteers

At home I'm absorbed by my bouncy kids and wonderful spouse. It must be love because when they pile into his lap and snuggle or read or play, I feel tingly and fuzzy all over. This total sense of completeness wells up inside me and spreads outwards. I wish I could grab a camera before everyone moves.

My yard is getting whipped into shape. I'm taking a break this weekend to rake pine needles elsewhere. But progress is being made. Dare I suppose I might make headway in the garage this summer?
