(oompah band music)
Yes, I do art. But right now I am doing lots of embroidery and embroidery moves slooooowly... oh ... so ... slowly.... so there's hardly much to report.
"roger, I stitched half an hour today and covered 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch. 10-4"
yeah.. not very note-worthy. I stitch at lunch time, on BART, and while sitting in the car with the kids while the spouse is on a "quick" errand in OSH. (heh)
It's too hot to sew in the Corbie Cave during the day; sewing while sweat rolls down my face is no fun and I only do it if I must. I have a chemise and dress I'd like to finish for Crown, but that is currently waiting until after this Saturdays race. I'm couching gold on my Opus piece, which is going faster than embroidery but slower than I'd like.
So there's really not a lot to say. But it occured to me that I'm all blah-blah-bike-to-death-run-to-death-blah and some people may assume I've tossed arts by the wayside.
Nope. Still "doing" stuff. It's just fairly boring and doesn't have the instant gratification of pounding out a 6-mile run or biking.
p.s. I purposely went to bed "early" last night so I could get at least 6 hrs of sleep. My goal: perky and fresh at work. Damn! I feel great; alert, energize AND motivated to run at lunch. Go me! Sleep is good.

Date: 2008-09-10 01:09 pm (UTC)(since I wasn't actually elevated for embroidery arts and I've been learning this stuff in recent years, making it "new" for me, I don't think I'd be stepping on any toes)
