We drove, we raked, we hauled and the pine needles are done. At least for this year. Hurrah!

Yea! Guess that means no snow on your property, eh?

Nope!

Nope, no snow. It was cool enough out to work like a dog and not get over heated, which was good. And when we were done there was lots of sitting and drinking beer with our shoes kicked off while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. so not too cool for lolling around on the deck.

Sadly, there was some "man-math" involved. I was told that last year they hauled the needles with Jeff's truck. I should have questioned that. We filled his truck 6x and he spent the whole day racing back and forth to the landfill. We'd have cut that down to two trips if Joe's truck had been there, too.

Live and learn. At least the Snow Shoe was good.

And we located the apple trees that Papa planted years ago. They are still small - per fighter_chick the ground is probably too acidic from pine needles. So this summer I'm going to dig them up and bring them home.

Glad your weekend went well. Beltane was a whilrwind, but I was able to stand guard at Kat's vigil, and arrived in time Saturday morning to watch her elevation. The rest of the event was okay... kinda small, and tough to get in the mood when we knew we weren't staying Saturday night. Yesterday was a workday at home, from the time we got up 'til dinner. Ugh!

Nice to be home this morning... but now I'm going to turn off the computer so I can get some reading done! :)
