5 minutes to remember
Oct. 7th, 2008 07:47 amI have 5 minutes before my marathon of meetings that go from 8 am to 11 am.
Last night rocked.
(Drum roll). F was home by 6pm. Wheeee! Yay! Confetti and horns.
Just FYI: we don't talk about work when we aren't at work. Normally his job sucks so there's no point in asking how it was. My job is okay, but not lively, so there's no point in talking about it.
So we hugged, he liked the dinner plan (home-made pizza) and I gleefully put him to work helping Miss E with her kindergarden homework.
Bwah-ha-ha! She ran him in circles. She tries that with me, too, but I normally have too much to do so I brush it off and march forward over her protests. But she had Daddy's undivided attention AND she had complete confidence in her interpretation of the world, so even though she can't read, she was arguing with him about how the homework sheets were supposed to be filled out. And he was trying so hard to be patient... AND giving her coloring pointers... It was so cute. Boy, was it hard to keep a straight face watching the Daddy and Miss E Homework Show.
And after homework they zipped into jammies and had time for 20 minutes of TV. So Miss E snuggled up next to Daddy while Super N bounced around the place like a grasshopper and I plucked along on my gold work chit-chatting w/ Daddy. Then to bed and the first installment of "Aurora, The Younger Years".
And close curtain.
That was awesome.
