Friday's 5

1. I cut Miss E's hair on Wednesday. Yup. Me and my embroidery scissors. She now has bangs AND I didn't poker her eyes out. Go me! And she likes it! Go me!!

2. I worked 8 hours today and I'm going home. First time since I got back from Italy on 11/12 that this has happened. Me = tired.

3. I find the stir that President Obama's inaugural speach has caused in Japan to be super duper cool. Go Prezzy! It's nice for our national leader to be inspiring people to optimism and not fear.

4. I'm 2 hours away from finishing my opus piece. happy sigh.

5. I wore my new Raven's T-shirt today. It was a great conversation starter. Everyone asked me if I was a fan; I couldn't find Baltimore on a map if my life depended on it. However, some funny conversations were started and I know a few people better for it. In fact, turns out the guys in maintenance think I'm kind of funny, that I know my sh*t when it comes to equipment, and they like it when I come to the daily status meetings. Me = stunned that there's a group who doens't hate my guts. Yay!

I remember when I was in charge of cutting my daughter's bangs when she was a little girl... those days are gone forever... I couldn't imagine her letting me within three feet of her hair with scissors.
