Somedays, I know that I am my mothers daughter.

Having to learn new technology tires me, intimidates me and annoys me. I love equipment with motors and gears. Tech bugs me. My mom always relied on me to push the buttons on the VCR for her and when I wasn't there, she'd turn it off by unplugging it. Yeah, I'm her daughter.

Luddites Unite!

I wanted an i-Pod because they are small and have more music capacity than my MP3 player, which eats batteries like mad. When I went to shop for one, I got overwhelmed by the wide range of options. How could I know I was getting the right one? My brain froze and I walked away without one.

The hubby knew I wanted one and got me one spontaneously. Yay. Apparently I have a "shuffle". It has a single play list and it either plays it in order or on shuffle. Yeah, that's about all I can handle right now.

Now what? I need i-Tunes? What's that? How do I get the music on the thingy? It took me about 2 months to get over my "dealing with new tech" resistance and get the music onto the thingy. The push was my travel partner was talking about having music on the trip and it occured to me it was a great idea for long trips. So I forced myself to figure it out. Yay! I'm converted. I love that you only need to buy the songs you want. Takes much much less space than owning whole CDs. (I backed mine on disc since Falzalot mentioned her PC crashing or eating her music stash)

But I own it. I.R.Luddite.
