"One must walk before one can run"
Mar. 5th, 2009 08:07 amDid you send me an e-mail since Friday afternoon? I'm just getting to it today.
I bit it on the ski slopes on Sunday. It was a spectacular wipe out. Yay!?! ( no shit there I was )
Prognosis:
Bones are fine per X-rays.
Ligaments seem fine.
Some damage to meniscus. No MRI yet.
Just started walking-hobbling yesterday without crutches.
Orthopedist fell out of chair laughing when I mentioned running and biking by Saturday. Also gave me the "are you nuts?" look when I told him I have a tri in 6 weeks. No running or biking for a while. "One must walk before one can run". I think the Tri is out, too.
I have been laided up and off line for days. If you've sent me email or we have plans for this weekend, then you'll probably hear from me today. This just seemed the fastest way to do a shout-out so that whomever has been emailing me doesn't think I'm flaking. (I have hundreds of unread email and messages).
I'm at work today. Being home sick and unable to tackle projects like the yard or garage drive me insane when the pain isn't bugging me. I got so bored I started in on cataloging my library again, got caught up on "NCIS", and started calling my mom (!!!) just to have someone to talk to.
Looks like I was missed at work. Hundreds of email....
