May. 15th, 2009 08:49 amOh Fava Bean, how I adore thee. Hey - and look at all the good they do you. I love the protein fuel.
I did a rush-through at the Farmers Market last night. I scored fava beans, some tender and skinny asparagus, and peaches so sweet I devoured one peach on the spot, juice running down my hands and chin. I felt like an 8 year old... but it was soooo gooooood. which is when I saw Ermine-Rat and his family.. me trying to lick my fingers and hands clean... lol. I also got some miniature squash (green and yellow) - not sure why, but "miniature" vegetables are SO cute!
I think that on non-needle hosting nights that we'll begin to make a regular pilgrimage to the Farmer's market. I need to "stage" stuff in my car.. Oh wait! I already did that. There's a chair for me, picnic blanket for the kids... Looks like we're going next Thursday! Yeah! So much better than sitting around at home.
All this healthy stuff is just the fuel I need to keep on trucking.
So far,
Sunday, bike up Mt Diablo.
Monday, run 30 min + weight lift
Tuesday, bike to work (3.5 hrs)
Wednesday, run 38 min + wt lift
Thursday, bike to work (3.5 hrs)
Friday, running intervals for 30 min (light effort - legs feel like lead) + wt lift.
Tomorrow: Ride up Mt Diablo
Sunday: spinning class or mild-ish run.
Monday... repeat.
