I feel strung out. I think it's the lack of sleep.

I got home Friday to Miss E's flu. Daddy and Super N took off to Con-Quest. (And Super N was so excited. He was bouncing around the place singing about how much fun he was going to have. I kept grabbing him and hugging him... I miss him so much.) Since then it's been me and Miss E, and our unwelcome visitor. Doctor E-Vile Virus is in the house...

The third member of our group, Doc V, has been busy and awake the entire time. Doc V has been "pro-active". I've battled this fight before and I'm impatient for it to be over. This is not one of those sit-ee-ay-shuns where you dose the kid with anti-fever/anti-pain med and they sleep it off, freeing you up to putter nearby and get sleep. nope. Miss E's been running a fever and projectile(!!) vomitting up water and her medicine. And moaning. And crying. And diahrhea, which was a bad thing when we didn't get to the bathroom on time. That mishap happened while daddy was checking in on us Saturday morning, prompting me to hang-up on him to deal with the mess.

I'm pretty tired. And a bit loopy. I doze on the sofa, which isn't comfortable, and get up every few hours to try and get some water into Miss E; dehydration is our enemy. This may sound funny, but as long as she keeps peeing, I know I'm winning. Trial and error has taught me that I can sneak 4 tablespoons of water past Doc V every few hours. And although a full dose of children's tylenol won't stay down, a half dose will, so I'm doing 2x as many doses of 1/2 strength.

And I'm cleaning up after all the mishaps. tired... so tired...

My MIL is going to swing by with a care package today since I can't leave the house to shop. The plan is for her to leave it on the porch.

I got some down time yesterday. I put on "Pride and Predjudice", which lulled Miss E into dozing for 2 hours (Thank You Mr Darcy and Lizzy!). With her constant vomitting I've kept her situated away from the books and kept all my projects out of her 'Area of Effect'. Besides with the frequent hopping around to nurse her there hasn't been much time to do anything else. So when she finally went to sleep I started my crazy 12th Night headpiece, a balzo. I got it 90% done and it "seemed" cool last night, but I'm sleep deprived and a little delirious, so I'm not sure if I should trust my opinion. A little outrageous goes a long way. This might be a lot outrageous. It's safely tucked away in the Corbie Cave where Doc V can't ruin it with his shenanigans.

We are about to try and get a few Cheerios into her tummy. Fingers crossed Doc V is going to let us.

As soon as F and Super N get home I'm taking a bubble bath (in solitude), taking a nap (in quiet solitude), and then when I wake up I'm going out. I have no idea where I can go on Monday (Labor Day) in the early eve, but it will be O.U.T.
