Okay - this was a public post and I got some anonymous responses and they were annoying. I deleted them as spam because they were anonymous and I hate it when people write things like "r u serious". Please! Use complete and real words - I'm not a first grader. Honest misspellings are fine but crap like that is just crap.

If you want to have an opinion, then have the balls to put your name on it.

For my part, I've had too many jobs that have contracted to the government or brushed up against the government or been part of "big business" to believe everything in the news or to trust blindly in our leaders (goverment, media, etc). I've worked in environmental clean up, product safety testing and pharmaceutical. It annoys me that people point fingers and chant "conspiracy theororist" as though it's a joke.

It's not always a joke. Ever seen the test results from groundwater or soil from beneath a pit of car batteries? Did you know the military doesn't need to get permission to dump toxic waste on their own property nor do they need to clear it with anyone? Or record it anywhere? Or even notify the communities down wind? Hello! Wake up.

Thank you. Shutting up now because I've signed too many non-disclosure agreements to be any more blunt that this. This is my journal and if you want to provide thoughtful feedback on something, go ahead. Everyone is welcome to an opinion. However, I won't tollerate insults and you need to use a real ID.

Thoughts on Mercury Poisoning:
Looking into someone else’s struggles and challenges:

Autism has been linked to mercury poisoning.

It is suspected that the reason why some children are more sensitive to the mercury than others is due to how their bodies process or store it. That’s not improbable – afterall, not everyone is allergic or sensitive to the same foods. Storing metals or processing them depending on what media they are in when they enter the body could be the same sort of thing.

The flu vaccine has 4x the mercury that children’s shots have and when taken by pregnant mothers, is also suspected of contributing to autism in children. It is widely accepted and proven that whatever goes into the pregnant mother’s blood stream goes into the child. Hence the side effects due to alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc. during pregnancy. This is why pregnant women are warned about eating too much tuna – the mercury in the fish goes into their systems and then into their baby’s system.

Most pediatricians insist that children receive a certain regime of shots on a certain schedule. Some shots are fairly necessary. Others beg the question: why does my child need to be given the Hepatitis C shot before 12 months of age? How many parents are educated about the risks of taking or not taking these shots? How many blindly trust the doctors?

The mercury in shots administered to children and flu shots given to pregnant mothers is suspected of causing Autism in children. This information is hotly debated: companies that make the shots deny this while parents of autistic children proclaim it. Both rely on reports from the medical community.

Mercury builds up in the system. Like other heavy metals, it does not flush out.

It is common for children to develop the first outward signs of Autism at 15-18 months of age. Also note that this is after a year and a half of receiving shots every 3 months or so.

Eli Lily, a maker of flu vaccine, is immune to lawsuit. (sis is sending me a link to something on line that declares or explains this.)

George W and several senators sit on the BOD for Eli Lily.

Sis is arranging for her 2 year old to receive Chellation Therepy. This is supposed to remove the suspected mercury from his system. Apparently it removes everything, including other heavy metals as well as necessary nutrients. It’s supposedly a miserable experience on par with chemotherapy. Pretty harsh stuff, but the end results could mean M will be able to talk, respond and develop social skills.

I wonder what we will “know” in 10-20 years. I look back on the era (1950-61) where thalidomide was given to pregnant women and massive birth defects or fetal death resulted and I think, “well of course that was dangerous. Why didn’t they know that then?” Will we look back and say the same about mercury in these shots?

Any idea when they started adding all the mercury to vaccinations? Seems like my generation was damn near bullet proof and their kids are rife with asthma, ADD and autism. How many vaccinations do kids get these days? I think it was rubella, smallpox and polio back in the sixties. I didn't get the rubella one and had to have it as an adult. Ouch.

I have a very dear friend who works as a consultant on airborne mercury emissions. Plus, am married to a consultant, so I hear about these sorts of things. Scary, scary stuff.

Shots Update and Mercury

Well, my smallest just got her (late) 18 mo update today.

According to her handy shot records this is the current typical regimine:

At birth, one month and three months:

Hepatitus B

At three months, 6 months and 9 monts she got:

Polio; the cocktail with Diptheria, tetanus, and acellular or some combo of those; Meningitis

At one year:

Measles, mumps, rubella cocktail; chcicken pox

Today (21 months):

the cocktail with Diptheria, tetanus, and acellular or some combo of those; HIB Meningitis

Mercury derivative (thimerosal) is noted on one of the packages from today's visit. It's 25 micrograms/dose and it's in there as a preservative.

Why did the baby get the shot? Mom took the baby. Before the shots were prepared or administered she requested they use the new lots without mercury or just not give them if mercury-free shots were not available. She discussed this with each nurse and the doctor. They verbally assured her there was none. Now I have the box of one of the doses and it states thimerosal (mercury derivative) present in the dose. I'm not trying to over-react. But I am pissed that when asked to verify no mercury and when assured no mercury, the medicine was administered and it contained mercury.

Francessca has these horror stories about the carelessness of doctors. I've always been fairly trusting of the medical community. This very minute I'm examining that trust and making some mental notes about how our next visit to the doctor will be handled.
