News from the Sewing Crypt.

The rats and bats and spiders are recovering from the Ropa jaunt. Actually finishing the garments that went with the Ropa was invirogating and the spiders want to know when they can get started requisitioning supplies from the Dungeon (aka "garage") for the next project. Also, in order to do this, they need to know what the project list is and what the priority is.

So Igor, the Brain in the Box, is making a list of projects that it has either made a commitment to or is thinking of making a commitment to. Thus:

Early peroid stuff per upcoming workshop series w/ students. Monthly goals based on workshop.
Overall Goal: two early period outfits for 12th night, one each for Da Spouse and I.
Current: research in progress.
Due: Jan 26

1480 Flemish for KLZ (w/ smock; not including overdress)
Time: approx 12 hrs machine work (max); plus 10 hrs handwork. I'm waffling about doing the eyelet holes by hand.
Due: March Crown

1488 Italian for Young Miss (including chemise and overdress and shopping trips to find fabric)
Time: Not sure. Shouldn't be more than 50 hrs all told.
Due: Coronet

1560 Italian - me
Time: ??? has a lot of embellishment planned. Est: 50 hrs.
Due: Beltane

1540 Italians - kids
Time: approx 5-10 hrs per kid
Due Beltane

1480's Flemish for kids
Time: approx 5 hrs per kid
Due Beltane

Various tunics and SCA camping clothes for kids
Time: 10 hrs per kid
Due June Crown

1480 men's clothes for me (farsetto, shirt, hose, gown)
Time: 40 hrs max (probably closer to 20 hrs.)
Due: A&S

In parallel w/ my 1480's male ensemble - work with students/household members on same.

1480's mens clothes for Bro (farsetto, shirt, hose, gown)
Time: 40 hrs max
Due: Erinwood

Anything else? besides Collegium, embroidery gifties, keeping up with work/family/house/yard?

Forecast is ... busy and kind of Italian ...Well, it is a "wish" list afterall. Writing it all down makes me laugh at myself. As if I could do half of this!!!! Well, that's why I write these things down. So I can see how impossible the mission is and not let myself get vexed that I have to curtail some stuff. ........

In the meantime, my rodent seamstresses and insect helpers need to get cracking if anything will be finished. Hahahaha!

I would have no concerns about actually meeting all these deadlines if I wasn't also doing Collegium. Collegium sucks my brain space away from projects - even when I'm not actively doing anything for the event. I'm a very goal-oriented, tunnel vision kind of person. Just how I'm wired. Just my matrix.

So would you take the blue pill or the red pill? lol
