Schedule:

you will have down moments to work in lunch, so eat at will.

10-10:30 - try on corsets
10:30 - 11 - review corset fit, chalk
11-12 (A) Trace corsets, mark seam allowance, cut out canvas.
12-2 (A) set up, Baste corset, chalk pockets, pin together, sew pockets
2- 3:30 (A) attach bias tape around all but top opening of corset (lots of time to do this, it's very fiddly)
3:30-4 (A) Attach hook/eye tape, attach grommets
4-5: (A) Insert boning
5-5:30 (A) seal top and attach bias tape.

(we are going to push to be super efficient with group B)
11-12 (B) alt - draped for corset
12-1 (B) set up machine, etc; fiddle with drape, fit, develop pattern, cut out good corset
1-2:30 (B) Trace corsets, mark seam allowance, cut out canvas.
2:30- 3:30 (B) attach bias tape around all but top opening of corset (lots of time to do this, it's very fiddly and can be finished later.)
3:30-4 (B) Attach hook/eye tape, attach grommets
4-5: (B) Insert boning
5-5:30 (B) seal top and attach bias tape.

Wow. I find this sort of thing fascinating because it shows how different minds work. My brain would *never* break down sewing tasks into alotted time slots. the closest I get is to think something like "this handsewing should a couple of movies". Or I know from experiance that it takes me a dedicated weekend to make a set of ruffs.

But then, I was a sloth or slow loris in another life. ;-)

This is a scheudule for a workshop that a handful of people are attending, not my personal whip-cracking project schedule (although... I do this sort of thing for myself from time to time.. okay, most of the time).

From my own experience, I can get distracted easily and then people walk away with unfinished projects. The schedule is a guideline that will prevent me from wandering off topic and will help others to also stay on topic. It's been a useful tool in the past.

For me, personally, my free time is so specifically sequestered, if I don't set some sort of "goal" list or something, I don't do anything.
