Nicholas is bouncing back from having his tonsils and adnoids out on Monday. Post Op: the doc said the adnoids seemed normal, but his tonsils were apparently gigantic. We are looking forward to strept-free and bronchitus-free winter. (sigh of relief!)

In the meantime, Evie, who might be feeling left out, is telling everyone she has striped throat while also bragging that she gets to take swim class.

And Sunday night after the kids were in bed (before surgery), we both dealt with stress our own way. I hit the gym and burned some out there. While I was gone the hubby paced and played games on PC. When I got home, he shared his concerns and worries with me and we stayed up late talking.

I love how we can talk on such a deep level and how we listen to each other. That was awesome. However, as we were drifting off to sleep, I asked if he'd done the dishes. For some odd reason, he never equated stress management with dish washing and the dishes remain neglected. Silly man! I reminded him that water is very therapeutic and I reminded him of how we use bathes to calm ourselves and the kids when we/they are stressed. Running water to do the dishes is just like that only it had the secondary benefit of making me happy and less stressed as well; 2 birds and one stone.

He didn't seem very enthused with my stress-management suggestion. I'll have to remind him of the benefits to MY stress-management tonight. heh.
