Kids rock!

My kids always make me smile.
I got new Italian language CDs and the kids spent the trip up to Arnold practicing with me. N might become my travel buddy someday because he was enthusiastic and took to it right away.
We had to shovel out the driveway. bleck. N was a great helper. He shoveled for an hour without complaining or whining. He was happy to pitch in and I was blown away. E hid in the car and tried to provide advice from the other side of the car window. hahaha!
N took a snowboard lesson and he took to it right away. OMG! I'm so proud of him. He can't wait to go again.
E tried to stack the deck on Candyland. This came out when there was a squabble when N took the Candyland deck and tried to shuffle it at the start of our game. I had to keep from choking on my soda when I heard N say, "We are playing according to the rules, not to YOUR rules." Followed by E grumbling about how hard she worked on the cards. I'm proud of her for her deductive reasoning, creativity, and problem solving. She took the time to figure out the cards and line them up to give her the win (and the snowcap princess card). The cards got shuffled, though, and we did talk about cheating and why we need to shuffle cards. I'm not sure she was impressed since it means she might not get the princess card.
This week N is in the school science fair. His project was about dinosaurs. How did he get so big? I hope he never outgrows my lap.
Both my kids rock.
