Things are looking up

My triathlon demo did not go well.
1. I freaked in the pool. No idea why, I just did. Solution: more pool time starting this Friday.
2. The computer on my bike did not choose to work, so I had no way of clocking my mileage. About an hour into it, I decided to just accept that it is what it is. I stretched the bike ride into 2 hrs because I was also feeling creaky and lumpy. I went up Mitchell Canyon Rd and then part way out Marsh Creek. I skipped the run. Solution: more bike time for lumpiness. The comp appears to be broken because I eventually twiddled it into reading my speed, but the odometer refused to cooperate. Not sure I want to pay for a new computer right now.
post-tri Lunch: great! Sushi and Miles Vorkosigan.
The weekend went downhill from there; massively and rapidly. Even thinking about it makes me crabby. Overall, it was a waste of a good weekend and I wish I had a do-over. In fact, I was positively cheerful when I came to work because I knew that being here would be better than my weekend. So in the spirit of silver linings, pots of gold and half-full cups, I'm leaving work at 4:30 today so I can ride my bike for an hour before picking up the kids. And I'll probably pick them up via bike and have them walk home. WHich will be massively fun and we can enjoy the weather. Can't wait for the farmer's market.
