work and sewing.
Nov. 9th, 2006 06:46 pmWork and sewing. That's it.
About to go home. It's 6:30. The 15 minute meeting scheduled for 5pm ran until 6:15. figures.
H&O tried everything on last night. We rawk! I was having anxiety. I always do. Unless I could pull her out of the closet to try it on daily, there would be anxiety, so I remind myself of this and eat Tums like candy. (which is full of calcium and good for you anyway). All week I was torturing myself with the list of everything that could go wrong. So far, I lost the foundation sleeves I made for the over sleeves - Poof - they are gone. They are, however, the easiest pieces to redo and I have more of that fabric and the pattern.
D'Salai is brilliant. And evil. However, she called me a cow because I filled her in on what I was doing with the red sleeves and then she just had to redo hers. hahahahaha! Mooooooo!
I got her a nibby bar because this whole sewing thing was one of my brilliant (?) ideas and now we are working our fingers to the bone ... seriously, I have a big boo-boo in the tip of my thumb where the needle repeatedly broke the skin while sewing the skirt to the bodice. I have a little blood scab about 1/16 inch below the surface of my thumb and it's very owie. Thimbles are for wimps. Tough chicks make the spouse kiss the boo-boo to make it feel better. LOL
AND I got more than 2hrs of sleep last night. Yay-me! tonight and tomorrow don't look very promising, but .... there it is. Learned my lesson about scheduling hand-appliqued trim against an aggressive work schedule.
