Blah. on injured list. 2 days of bed rest for hurt back (Mon & Tues). I'm back to work and standing at my PC.

How did I do this? just unlucky. I spent a day viewing video at work (boring stuff), got achey, and then leaned funny on Friday. Feh! No working out. No sitting w/o extreme pain. No whining, so I'll stop.

thanks. me, too. And apparently wallowing in pizza and mac'n'cheese all weekend did not help me on my road to fitness... at least according to the scale! :-P

On the other hand, I'm not craving pizza or mac'n'cheese anymore. Short term payout is a loss towards my weight/fitness goal; maybe net long term payout will be win since, after eating half a large pizza on saturday (yea, even in writing that my eyebrows go up!), I really can't stand the sight of pizza.

Ouch! Hope they gave you good drugs for the bed rest part, at least. Aside from pain, it's so frustrating to have something messing up your schedule and the things you want to do, like work out. I hope it gets better quick!

Yes, good drugs. We did a reassessment today and she added a night-time medicine that deals with just the pain in the nerves (as opposed to the anti-inflammatory and the muscle relaxer).

Did you know that the doctor will not "give" you a prescription slip for vicodin? They have to phone it in. I learned something new about controlled substances.

Anyway, the mix of stuff I take at night time pretty much knocks me out. I go to sleep and I wake up in the same position and in the same spot on the bed. And I'm getting so much sleep, I'm feeling super-rested. It's awesome! So this is what it's like when you get more than 5 hrs of sleep a night... I may have to do this more often. lol. Now... all I need is a house elf. heh.

Ouch!
You take real good care of yourself!! Sure can relate to just turning the wrong way and hurting your back..Last time (when I ended up in the ER) all I did was turn the wrong way while using the restroom, that was embarrassing explaining to theER Dr lol But my PT told me that's all it can take to throw my back out, just to move a tad the wrong way! Ugh!
Glad you have meds that are helping you sleep! You need extra sleep when injured and sick!

I'm glad you're at least getting some good out of this! Sorry it's so bad you have to take so much.

Heh. That knocked out thing is how I sleep most of the time, hence the nose pushing incident back when. ;) Sometimes I wake up feeling like my blood has pooled because I move so little. The cat loves it.

I wonder if that Vicodin thing started at the beginning of the year? They sent me home from the hospital in December with a piece of paper and they didn't ask where we were getting it filled. Maybe in that case the pharmacy can't fill it until they call the doctor? I stayed in the car while A's mom went in to get it, but she wasn't gone that long.

The foot doc gave Himself a slip for vicodin; she didn't call it in. Might be a policy at your office.

Good drugs that give you good sleep is a GOOD THING!
