Overall, "it all good", but I feel like I'm skating the thin edge between "what a great day" and "why isn't it Friday yet?"

1. I feel hung over. And I am.. only I'm hung over on "carba-holic food" not alcohol. I threw a party. I wasn't tracking very well. It lapsed into Sunday. Today I feel loggy and head-achey. woe is me. This will teach me ... I hope! (and I'm avoiding the scale until the bowling ball-sensation in my gut goes away)

2. Since midnight on Friday I cleaned my kitchen, thrashed my kitchen, cleaned my kitchen, had a party that left a thrashed kitchen. On Sunday I cleaned enough of my kitchen to repair the kitchen faucet, then my kitchen fairy cleaned the rest of my kitchen, then I did a pork roast (which was freaking awesome) AND there were men in my kitchen, so now my kitchen looks like a hurricane hit it again. sigh. I want a house elf.

3. My workouts on Friday and Saturday night were awesome. Totally rejuvenating and inspiring.

4. I brought my gym bag to work and will hit gym at lunch. (maybe shake this heavy loggy feeling I'm having). (note: I did, in fact, get off my butt, walk to car that's parked about a football field away, and drive to gym. I got 30 min cardio - did 348 cal in 30 min. And some weights on upper body).

5. party on Saturday seemed to go well. got to see so many people that I've missed. got to make new friends. it all good.

6. current sewing project progresses well. Brought that to work, too.

7. online fabric stores are evil.

8. got to work with 2 students on Sunday. They are very inspiring. (I always come up with some of my best ideas for other people. why is that?)

9. Mean people suck. Mean people in non-profit groups are only shooting themselves in the foot and make me chuckle at their expense. Social Darwinism in action.

10. My right shoulder is in constant pain that goes from the "point/divet" in the shoulder down the center/outside of the bicep..(not sure what to call it. Take your fingers to the point of the shoulder, find the divet, drag fingers straight down, jab really hard into meaty bicep, and that's where it is). It's a strip about 6 inches from shoulder down that alternates between being achey and on fire. When it's on fire, I have no strength in my arm and can't lift stuff or raise my arm straight out from my side. (boooo!) I hate this. Is this the effects that age has on old sport injuries? gimme pain killers dammit!

11. I need to get through my day in an alert, functional and polite fashion while operating on 3-1/2 hrs of sleep. (my bad. online gaming is evil. When my OCD pings, it really feeds off of it) That's probably the source of today's headache. heh.

Item 8. I don't know why your best ideas are for other people, but I certainly appreciate it! I'm going to try to lay it out tonight, after I clear out all the other foo going on at my house.
Item 10 - doesn't sound like age to me, it sounds more like overuse, or nerve damage. Maybe you should ask your doc?

humph! don't confuse the issue (no. 10) with logic. I'm channeling my testosterone. That means I periodically whine about it, do dramatic gestures to relieve the pain, and avoid anything suspisciously like a true cure.

lol....Actually I meant to and I forgot to bring it up. I seem to be losing my memory, too. I need to take a list to the doctor's office. ... Gah! now that's a sad comment on the state of my mental and physical health!!!!

Sorry we left before you got back Sat night. We hit the wall and it was time for bed. :) I know you understand.

Is the "no strength in my arm" solely a "'cause it hurts like heck" or an actual "doesn't work the way it's supposed to"? I ask because a few years ago when I had a pinched nerve in my neck, it manifested as hideous pain running down the back of the bicep, muscular weakness, and numbness in certain fingers. The first doctor who looked at me (emergency room in Maine) misdiagnosed it as inflamed shoulder fascia (despite my pointing out the symptoms he was ignorning) while the second (back home at Kaiser) pinpointed the problem immediately and gave me something to do about other than pop pills.

hard call. I force it and sometimes I can make it work despite pain, but sometimes the arm/shoulder stop working correctly. I have made myself use it, but I find that I have to use my left arm/hand to grasp the right and "help" it in the task d'jour.

And it's gotten worse in the last 6 months. It's starting to flare up when I am "mousing" w/ my PC. And I have to take breaks from sewing. phooey!

I will berate you about this over lunch tomorrow. I get assorted weird arm symptoms that are fallout from a combination of muscle knots in my shoulders and a tendency to pinch nerves coming off the neck vertebrae (due to bad posture, bad sleep positions, etc.). So my berating will have a touch of hypocrisy. But really, pain is not your friend.

A very elite club since -- as you well know -- despite my reputation, I don't berate people very often at all.
