Project Update
Jul. 19th, 2007 01:16 amyes, I even have time for projects. yay!
Current sewing:
Green Fruit-seller, 1560's, Italy.
Bodice was prepped for trip. It has side-back seams closures, so the only sewn seams are at the shoulders and the rest is turned. The bias has been turned. There's lots of it. It took me 7 hrs. (that's 2 hrs during Saving Private Ryan last week and 5 hrs on way to Coos Bay).
Eyelet holes in progress on side-back closures. Blah. The anal-retent voice in my head says "do both sides". The voice that's watching the clock says "who needs to do both sides? why isn't one good enough? It's not like you'll ever need to undo both sides." Those two voices are currently battling it out. I don't know which will win and it's like watching arm-wrestling inside my head. Although I suspect that the anal-retent is going to win since I'm also seeing this as my "chance" to revamp my entire wardrobe. And since I'm done with one edge and 1/2 done with my second edge. If I can just keep up a pace where I do 3-4 lacing holes a day, it won't feel like an eternity.
Embroidyer: Opus. Chugging along. Getting closer to gold work. Started looking for my "practice" piece so I could screw around on that one first.
This weekend: clothing for a goddess or an allegory .. not sure which.
Do computer games count at projects? My scrapper is having a heck of a time finding those darned Master Ill. from the Carnival of Shadows. I want the badge that goes with the Master Ill. pets. Grrr. I have a great mission for farming if only I could get enough trusted non-dorks on it. Ran it w/ a friend tonight and didn't get the Master Ill - just the regular Ill. I think I'm going to make a Carnie costume for halloween. I need a mask, tho. And a wig. And some wild-ass fabric.
off to bed. with visions of fabric dancing in my head
